Event Organizer: Hannah Bishop

Event Organizer Contact Information: hannahjoy2024@gmail.com or (740) 644-5757

Description of Event: Our school will be hosting an assembly for around 600 students (10th-12th grade) during the school day to raise awareness about sexual assault, harassment, and violence and educate students about ways to be mindful of what is happening. It would be a brief session, approximately 30 minutes in our school theater.

Where: Granville, OH.

When: Flexible. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday would be preferable.

In-person or Remote: In Person

Additional Information: Ideally, we would love for a younger survivor to speak about their experiences with this violence in high school or college. The purpose of this talk is to help victims feel seen and take away the shame, educate people about how to prevent sexual violence, and provide information for unaffected students about how to be more mindful and aware of their peers' trauma. We have had problems within the student body with students not realizing this problem is occurring and not being mindful of how their comments affect survivors.
