Va. Governor Youngkin Signs Three RAINN-supported Bills Into Law

 

In a sweeping show of survivor-centered legislative progress, Monday, Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin signed into law three RAINN-supported bills that give survivors of sexual violence tools they need to seek justice and healing.

(March 3, 2025) — Today, RAINN Vice President of Public Policy Stefan Turkheimer gave remarks at a Capitol Hill roundtable hosted by the First Lady of the United States Melania Trump and a bi-partisan group of lawmakers advocating for online protection for victims of tech-enabled sexual abuse through the Take It Down Act.
