Between Thursday, the day of the hearing, and Sunday, RAINN saw a 338 percent increase in hotline traffic. “History shows us that when high-profile allegations such as these are in the news it often causes others to reach out too. This story has clearly resonated with survivors, and has led thousands to reach out for help for the first time,” said RAINN president Scott Berkowitz.

Hispanic Heritage Month starts September 15, and it is a great time to celebrate the heritage of the 40 million Americans who primarily speak Spanish. In honor of this month, RAINN wants to make sure it continues to provide the support and information that Spanish-speaking survivors in these communities deserve year-round.

RAINN has joined with actor and producer David Schwimmer, the Ad Council, and writer and director Sigal Avin to launch a sexual harassment awareness and prevention campaign.

As the leading authority on sexual violence, RAINN is comprised of experts in victim services, education and communications, public policy, and technology.

With the renewed focus on sexual violence in the news, a record number of survivors turned to RAINN for help. In November alone, RAINN saw a 26 percent increase in hotline traffic, with our victim service programs helping an average of 673 survivors each day. Helping survivors is a year-round effort.
