RAINN's top priority is supporting survivors of sexual violence, and that includes ensuring the safety and security of college students. We appreciate the opportunity to share our expertise and to have the Secretary hear from a member of our Speakers Bureau.

We respect the Department’s desire to examine the system and look for improvements. However, this should be done without dismantling what’s in place now and without undoing the good that has evolved over recent years. We must build on the progress already made.

College administrators need more support and resources to navigate this issue and develop systems that work for their students. We all owe it to students to take this responsibility seriously.
