RAINN’s National Sexual Assault Hotline Experiences Nearly 20% Increase in Calls Following Airings of Allen v. Farrow on HBO Max

Washington, D.C. – RAINN released the following statement after its National Sexual Assault Hotline experienced an average increase of nearly 20% in calls following airings of episodes of Allen v. Farrow on HBO Max:

“On the Mondays after the four-part documentary series aired, the National Sexual Assault Hotline experienced a nearly 20% increase in callers on average. This series, with its focus on child sexual abuse and its warning signs, is especially important right now, as many children remain cut off from their safe spaces and the trusted adults who might recognize something is wrong or to whom they might turn for help. We thank the filmmakers for tackling this difficult subject with such sensitivity and HBO for their partnership in providing RAINN’s National Sexual Assault Hotline— 800.656.HOPE (4673) or online.rainn.org—to Allen v. Farrow audiences.” - Heather Drevna, Vice President of Communications, RAINN.

All episodes of Allen v. Farrow are now streaming on HBO Max.
