Michael comes to RAINN with over 15 years of experience helping to build brands and shape non-profit marketing strategies on issues ranging from youth substance use prevention, global service projects, public transportation, and public health. His focus on authentic, service-minded, creative and marketing has created meaningful avenues for people to connect brands and drive mission success. A powerful storyteller and creative strategist, his work has created passionate communities of loyal supporters and engaged brand advocates.

Prior to joining RAINN, Michael was Sr. Director of Brand and Digital Advocacy at the Truth Initiative, a youth tobacco prevention non-profit organization. His work helped the truth campaign become the most awarded and effective health promotion campaign in history. Michael has built and led teams at organizations including Truth Initiative, Youth Service America, Central Ohio Transit Authority and for-profit brands such as Vigilante Coffee, Ben and Jerry’s, Starbucks, and Muscle Milk.

Based in Columbus, Ohio, Michael enjoys collaborating with creatives to push boundaries and discover new ways to engage people for good. Side passions include rescue pups, coffee, camping, playing music, and hosting parties where he gets to cook a ton of food, like his annual crawfish boil.
