RAINN Partners with Health Insurance Provider to Develop Resource for International Students

RAINN and International Student Insurance (ISI), a provider of global medical plans, have partnered to create the Sexual Assault Training Program for International Students. This free resource provides school study abroad program administrators a way to share with students of many cultural backgrounds who are studying in the U.S. information about consent, bystander intervention, safety, responding to incidents, and protections available from law enforcement and schools.

“For more than 20 years, RAINN has worked to create educational programs to bring support to campuses across the United States. This training is unique because it brings the conversation of sexual violence to an international audience,” said Kati Lake, RAINN’s vice president of consulting services. “We are dedicated to working with campuses to improve their sexual violence education and response practices.”

RAINN works with clients across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to develop targeted, effective sexual violence education and response programs. Experts provide in-person and online trainings for a variety of different audiences, such as faculty, staff, and students within this sector (IHE). RAINN’s consulting services prepare organizations to effectively provide education about sexual violence and to respond to incidents in a way that facilitates healing and promotes safe and healthy communities. A variety of specialized consulting services are available to meet each organization’s unique needs, including hotline services, consulting, program assessments, education, and training.
