RAINN Partners with Actor and Producer David Schwimmer and the Ad Council to Launch #ThatsHarassment PSAs

RAINN has joined with actor and producer David Schwimmer, the Ad Council, and writer and director Sigal Avin to launch a sexual harassment awareness and prevention campaign.

Sexual harassment negatively affects people in workplaces and learning environments across the nation. RAINN partnered to release these PSAs to bring awareness about the many forms sexual harassment can take and to provide resources for those who experience or witness it.

“With the national conversation focused on issues of sexual violence, these PSAs send a powerful message that sexual harassment should never be tolerated,” said Jodi Omear, vice president of communications at RAINN. “We are thrilled to partner with David Schwimmer, Sigal Avin, and the Ad Council to help support survivors of sexual harassment and let them know that help is always available on the National Sexual Assault Hotline.”

“The work RAINN is doing – and has done for more than twenty years – is incalculable. They perform a critical, life-saving service to victims of sexual assault and harassment, indiscriminate of age, race or economic status. I couldn’t be more grateful for their partnership and support,” said Schwimmer.

The PSAs depict cases of sexual harassment in the workplace, all based on real events. This project was created to highlight behaviors that are unacceptable and to end institutional silence and complicity. The full-length short films and PSAs will air digitally and on television by major media companies including Amazon Prime Video, CBS, The CW, Fox Networks Group, Freedom, Hulu, SHOWTIME, and STARZ. A selection of PSAs and other resources are available at rainn.org/thatsharassment.
