Lucane LaFortune is an experienced and dynamic leader with over 20 years of expertise in program development, training, and team management within the nonprofit sector. As RAINN’s Training Director, Lucane leads a multidisciplinary team in designing and delivering trauma-informed, evidence-based training for hotline staff and volunteers who support survivors of sexual violence. Her career has focused on crisis intervention, program evaluation, and leadership in national training initiatives. She has successfully developed innovative learning strategies, implemented effective training programs, and fostered collaborative environments that enhance professional development.

Lucane is a Ph.D. candidate in Education with a concentration in Organizational Leadership at the University of Chicago Concordia. She also holds an Executive Leadership Certificate from Northwestern University. Fluent in French and Antillean Kreyol, with conversational Spanish proficiency, Lucane is committed to developing high-quality training programs that strengthen the ability of professionals to respond effectively to those seeking support. Her leadership emphasizes strategic program development and continuous learning to improve service delivery.
