What is a SANE/SART?

If you have been recently sexually assaulted and decide to complete a rape kit, you may hear the terms SANE or SART. These are important resources to know about if following a sexual assault you are seeking any sort of medical attention or if you are considering reporting the crime. It is important to note that these services may or may not be available in your local area. To find out, please contact your local crisis center.
