Bill Bondurant
Chief Technology Officer
William S. Bondurant II (Bill) brings to RAINN 25-plus years of experience supporting critical information technology infrastructure. He’s spent his career supporting some of the world’s most critical services and technical infrastructure that most of us use today, from AOL, Time Warner Cable, Amazon Web Services, and Meta.
At AOL, Bill pioneered one of technology’s first follow-the-sun global network operations centers, and helped open some of the first offshore tech development sites around the world before going on to Time Warner Cable, where he migrated millions of customers to high speed broadband Internet and Voice over IP (VoIP) services. At Amazon Web Services, he led the North American Operations Enablement Managed Services teams delivering Disaster Recovery as a Services (DRaaS) solutions used by tier 1 enterprises across the globe. He helped establish the Amazon GovCloud infrastructure utilized by DoD and Public Sector customers’ cloud solutions, and helped lead the European Central Banks Hybrid Cloud adoption for Unisys, as well as several other public sector organizations’ cloud migrations. Prior to coming to RAINN, Bill led Meta’s Global Network Deployment Delivery team, helping to roll out the foundation of the Metaverse and Meta AI solutions.
When Bill isn’t at work he runs…a lot. Has completed multiple Boston, Marine Corps, and NYC Marathons, as well as the Comrades Ultra Marathon in South Africa. He is on the Board of Directors for the Freedoms Run race series, the largest running race series in West Virginia fighting childhood obesity and adult onset diabetes, and won the Volunteer of the Year award for DC Road Runners Club and the West Virginia Road Runners Club of America Masters Marathon Championship.
Bill has also served as the Executive sponsor for DoD’s SkillsBridge program and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Hiring Our Heroes program, assisting active duty service members successfully transition to civilian career opportunities.
A US Marine Corps Combat Veteran and West Virginia University Magna Cum Laude graduate, Bill has been married for 20-something years with two sporting boys and one very lazy dog.
