When you contribute to one of RAINN’s story campaigns, you are choosing to share your personal experiences, insights, or stories with us voluntarily. By submitting your content, you agree to the terms below.

1: Where Your Content May Appear

RAINN may use your content, in full or in part, in public-facing materials such as:

• RAINN’s website or app
• RAINN’s social and digital channels
• RAINN’s press materials or public statements
• Printed materials
• Email communications created by RAINN
• Other channels owned and managed by RAINN
• RAINN’s internal training courses for staff and volunteers

Once content is shared publicly online, RAINN cannot control how others may copy, save, share, or repost it.

2: How RAINN May Alter Your Content

RAINN may use your content in full or in part. We may also edit it for length, clarity, accessibility, safety, translation, grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, or to protect your identity. We will not intentionally change the substance or overall meaning of what you shared.

3: Privacy & Liability

You are in control of what you choose to share.

Before submitting, please review your content and remove any details that could identify you or put you at risk if shared publicly.

If you share your name, age, or location and you are under 18, RAINN staff may be legally required to make a report.

Please do not submit content that violates the law, includes someone else’s private information, or conflicts with any legal or contractual obligation you may have.

4: Compensation

You will not be paid for content you submit through this form. Participation is voluntary.

5: Sharing Guidelines

To help reduce risk to yourself and others, please do not include:

• Graphic descriptions of sexual violence
• Names or identifying details of other people
• Threats, hate speech, or harassment
• Private contact information
• Personal attacks
• Content that is knowingly false or misleading

RAINN may decline or remove submissions that do not follow these guidelines.

6: Withdrawing Consent

You may withdraw your consent for future use of your content at any time by emailing [email protected]. Please include the name used in your submission, a description of the content, and, if available, a link to where it appeared.

RAINN will stop using your content in new materials and will work to remove it from channels we control when possible. However, we may not be able to fully remove content that has already been shared, archived, or reposted by others.
