Director of Training and Clinical Services

Traci Sharpe is the Director of Training and Clinical Services. Prior to her work at RAINN Traci worked as a Content Developer and Training Specialist at Quantico, Headquarters Marine Corps Behavioral Health, and brings with her over twenty years of experience in the behavioral health and human services fields. During her time at HQMC Traci served as the branch training specialist responsible for the development and implementation the first ever Commandant-directed integrated behavioral health training for all Marines that addresses suicide prevention, combat and operational stress control, sexual assault prevention and response,  substance abuse prevention, and family advocacy. This training was strategically aimed at providing awareness, reducing stigma, and building resilience. Traci also served as the Contracting Office Representative, Institutional Review Board Member, Human Subject Research Protection Official, branch purchase-card holder, and Subject Matter Expert (SME) on curriculum design and development. Throughout her career, Traci has been featured in print, television, and radio promotions targeting awareness and safe messaging standards. Traci sat on the Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance fatality review board, served as the Women of Color Caucus President for the state of Virginia, and on the grant appointee compliance review board for the Office on Violence Against Women. As an experienced curriculum developer and platform trainer, Traci holds certifications in Instructional Design, Human Performance Improvement, Non-Clinical Trauma, Anger Management, and Psychological First Aid. Traci attributes her dedication and work ethic to the examples set by her mother and grandmother. Her commitment to the promotion of psychological health remains unparalleled as she lives by the mantra that when we know better, we do better. 

Traci enjoys photography, reading, hiking, working out, spending time with her family, and cuddling with her fur baby, Diesel.

Traci holds a BS from Liberty University in Multidisciplinary Studies and a MS in Human Services from California Coast University.
