Tanya is a strategic and creative leader in public health and social change and an interdisciplinary scholar focused on building healthy communities free from violence and exploitation.

Prior to joining RAINN, Tanya held leadership roles for grassroots nonprofit organizations, provided consulting services for nonprofit and government organizations, and held teaching positions at various universities. She has extensive experience working in crisis and disaster zones across Central and South Asia as well as South and North America.

Tanya holds a doctorate in Comparative Literature from the University of California, Riverside.
