Director of Talent Acquisition

Lia-Marie Marmolejos serves as Director of Talent Acquisition at RAINN, where she leads efforts to reimagine hiring as a form of service—one that builds trust, drives equity, and supports long-term organizational growth. Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in a culture where service to others is foundational, her passion for people was evident early on. With nearly eight years at RAINN and over a decade of experience in mission-driven talent work, Lia-Marie’s RAINN journey began in 2018 in direct victim services—first as a part-time bilingual support specialist, and later as a the national sexual assault online hotline evening manager leading hiring, onboarding, and training for frontline teams. It was in those early moments, supporting survivors and mentoring new staff, that she discovered her passion for building people-centered systems that strengthen teams and organizations from within.

Since transitioning into People Team leadership, Lia-Marie has led strategic recruitment initiatives, enhanced employer branding, and developed trauma-informed talent pipelines that reflect RAINN’s survivor-centered values. She holds a bachelor’s degree in science with a concentration in medical studies and a minor in business administration from Old Dominion University, a Public Health Administration Certificate from the University of Virginia, and professional certifications including SHRM-CP and aPHR. Fluent in English and Spanish, she is committed to building resilient, inclusive teams through data-informed and values-driven practices. Lia-Marie believes that hiring is more than a process, it’s an act of care for the mission and the people it serves.
