RAINN works with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle to modernize child protection laws and close legal loopholes exploited by abusers.

Our CSAM legislative priorities include:

• Expanding the federal definition of CSAM to include synthetic, AI-generated, and manipulated content
• Criminalizing the creation and distribution of nonconsensual manipulated intimate material, especially when it targets minors
• Increasing funding for Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task forces
• Supporting legislation like the TAKE IT DOWN Act
• Developing federal reporting, enforcement, and takedown standards across platforms
