Fighting Sexual Assault Through Design!

RAINN is hosting a poster contest for our college campus campaign. The winning poster will be used to promote sexual assault awareness on college campuses all over the U.S., reaching over 1 million people nationwide. The winning artist will be mentioned on our website (rainn.org) and have their design downloaded and printed for display by schools and crisis centers!

Posters should be graphically dynamic, appealing to college students and must incorporate one of RAINN’s set text options below.

ALL poster submissions must include RAINN’s logo and one of the following text options:

How To Enter:

All submissions must be emailed to talk@rainn.org by Friday, November 13, 2009!

Enter “Poster Contest” in the subject line. Attach poster and consent release form files to the e-mail message. All submissions must be in .pdf or .jpg format at high resolution and you must follow ALL contest guidelines. Artists may submit multiple posters in this contest. Please send each design in a new file, and include all of your information with each.

Entries will be judged by RAINN’s Marketing Team. Judges will assess each entry for:
√ Creativity
√ Originality
√ Quality of the artwork
√ Reproducibility
√ Incorporation of the selected RAINN text option

Do:
√ Create original artwork
√ Sign and send a contest release form with your artwork
√ Have all persons who are photographed or appear on any submitted poster sign a contest release form
√ Include your name, and valid contact information (address, phone, e-mail)
√ Submission should be in CMYK format
√ Ensure that the file sizes do not exceed 10MB
√ Submit high resolution artwork (at least 300dpi)
√ Include a bleed size of 1/8^th of an inch
√ Include the RAINN logo (found below)

DO NOT:
√ Submit collages
√ Use images of copyrighted celebrities, models, characters, trademarks, registered trademarks, product logos, brand names etc.
√ Submit a poster larger or smaller than 11” x 17” (these are exact measurements)
√ Add any additional text to the poster
√ Submit anything with specialty printing requirements (embossing, die-cuts, etc)

Poster semi-finalists may be asked for additional information and/or materials. Posters that include endorsements of products, corporations, or organizations, or that are deemed inappropriate or offensive will be disqualified.

* RAINN reserves the right to alter the final poster design or to reject all submissions for the final poster design.

* All submissions become the property of RAINN and may be used for any commercial purpose.

* Though there is no monetary compensation, the winning artist will be mentioned on our website (rainn.org)
