The National Sexual Assault Online Hotline: The Pilot Phase
The National Sexual Assault Online Hotline began its pilot phase last summer and now operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! In this short period, it has already:
...helped almost 20,000 rape victims.
...prevented countless suicides.
...aided thousands of families dealing with sexual assault.
The Online Hotline is the first web-based crisis intervention system of its kind. It has been tested extensively, ensuring the total anonymity of users. We have recruited and trained passionate volunteers, and most importantly, provided life-saving aid to thousands of young people in their greatest moments of need.
Since its launch, the Online Hotline has received national recognition from media outlets such as USA Today, ABC, CNN, and Seventeen magazine, and has been awarded the prestigious NPower Technology Innovation Award, sponsored by Accenture, for its groundbreaking use of technology.
